4fly

Starting with your first aircraft

Size isn't everything...

One aircraft, on your own or shared: 4fly helps you organise your flights and everything that comes with them.

Four situations, four ways to get started

I am a private owner

The Owners section lets you add your aircraft without creating a flying club: aircraft logbook, hours, documents and maintenance. If you share it, the co-ownership tools also let you track ownership shares and the allocation of costs.

We are a group of owners or co-owners, not a club

Do you share an aircraft or a microlight with other private individuals? Your group can use 4fly without forming a flying club. Keep your schedule, flights, documents and maintenance together in a shared space. The co-ownership features also let you track each person’s shares, expenses and expenses paid upfront.

We are a small club

Even with just one aircraft, several pilots may need a shared schedule, a flight history and maintenance tracking. Add your first aircraft and your pilots, then use the features that suit your activity.

I offer introductory flights or training

The need is not necessarily to manage a fleet: it may be to find a booking, a passenger or a gift voucher. The discovery flight tools and, for instruction, student progress tracking address these needs.

A shared aircraft, without being a club

Having several owners does not mean you have to form an association to organise the use of your aircraft. Create a shared space for your group, add the aircraft and its co-owners, then define your operating rules.

  • A shared schedule and flight history to see who uses the aircraft.
  • Ownership shares, documents and maintenance tracking in one place.
  • Fixed costs split equally, by ownership shares or by flight hours; variable costs split according to the co-owners’ flight hours.
  • Expenses paid upfront taken into account and requests for contributions tracked in the group’s 4fly accounts.

Cost sharing and expenses paid upfront are recorded in 4fly’s internal accounts. This does not trigger automatic bank transfers between co-owners.

Even a single two-seater can mean activities to organise

For a small organisation offering introductory flights, 4fly can complement your existing website with a public discovery flight page and gift vouchers. Scheduling and availability can be configured to suit the way you operate.

  • Present your discovery flight packages on a shareable page.
  • Enable online bookings and gift voucher purchases, depending on your configuration.
  • Find passengers, bookings and vouchers to redeem in the management area.

Your website remains your showcase. 4fly helps you organise what happens after the first enquiry.

Start small, without configuring everything

  1. Create your account. Private owner: add your aircraft in Owners. Group of co-owners: create a shared space for your group and add the aircraft and its owners. Club or school: create your organisation and add your first aircraft.
  2. Choose an initial need: flight tracking, shared scheduling or discovery flights.
  3. Then add other users and features only if your activity calls for them.

If you fly alone, do not offer introductory flights and already have a tracking system that works for you, a simple logbook may be enough. The value of 4fly is in bringing together information that you currently find difficult to locate or share.

One aircraft: your questions

Is 4fly useful with just one aircraft?

Yes. Even one aircraft may require tracking of flights, hours, documents and maintenance. In a small club or school, it may also be shared by several pilots or used for introductory flights. Its usefulness depends on your activity, not on the number of aircraft.

Can I use 4fly as a private owner without a flying club?

Yes. The Owners section lets you add and track your aircraft without creating a flying club. It includes an aircraft logbook, documents and maintenance tracking. Co-ownership tools are available if you share the aircraft.

We are a group of owners or co-owners, not a club: can we use 4fly?

Yes. A private group of owners or co-owners can use 4fly without being an established flying club. Create a shared space for your group, add your aircraft and its co-owners: you can organise scheduling and track flights, documents and maintenance. The co-ownership features let you define ownership shares and cost allocation rules, account for expenses paid upfront and track requests for contributions in 4fly’s internal accounts. They do not make automatic bank transfers between owners.

I run a small introductory flight operation: what can 4fly offer me?

4fly offers a public discovery flight page, online bookings and gift vouchers, as well as an area for managing passengers, bookings and vouchers. You configure the offers and schedule to suit your activity. You can keep your existing website and add a link to this page.

Do I need to use all the features from the start?

No. You can start with your aircraft and a specific need, such as the aircraft logbook or scheduling, then use the other features when they become useful to you. You do not need a large fleet or an administrative team.

How much does 4fly cost for a small organisation or an owner?

4fly is free. Full activation of the features requires registering a payment card in your account. Online payments and certain external services may incur separate fees: see the Pricing page for their terms.
